Applications for the 2019–20 National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship Program will open on October 1st, 2019. All NHS senior members in good standing will be eligible to apply.

Seniors should get ready to apply by sharing the following information:

• Three recommendations will be required. Applicants will be asked for an email address for recommenders. So they should be gathering email addresses for and enlisting support from:

  • The advisers

  • The principal

  • Another teacher

• Applicants will need to detail participation or leadership in their three most significant individual service activities or projects. We suggest you consider your response now.

• Visit www.nhs.us/scholarship.

• Create an account that Ms. Abdalla can verify.

Application procedures will be available on October 1st, 2019 along with the application. The application deadline will be December 6th, 2019 at 11:59 PST and all recommendations and advisor certification is due December 10th, 2019 at 11:59 PST.

A total of $2 million will be awarded, disbursed among 600 NHS seniors.
